Many tv shows provide us with a review of the way the courts around the globe work. They really involve four characters only. The person that is guilty or rather the alleged guilty person, because you’re innocent until proven guilty.

Then there’s the prosecutor, usually the state. This person defends justice and must prove that the accused is really guilty. The judge is the one who must decide whether the eventually charges contrary to the accused have already been proven or otherwise not.

And then there is the attorney. In TV series they’re usually presented to viewers to be very confident. I believe you want an personality that is outgoing give your everything to have an accused walk out of the courtroom free, guilty or not.

That’s exactly what Jesus does for all His friends and family in the courtrooms of heaven. And the one truth above all else is that all His clients are guilty. Each and every charge brought by the prosecutor, or to put it in Biblical terms, God’s law, against the accused, is true.

All of these full cases concur that the accused, which is us, are guilty and, therefore, we deserve eternal fire. Then again the attorney, Jesus, gets up and walks to your bench where in fact the Highest Judge, God, is sitting.

He says nothing. He shrugs, half lifts His arms, palms out, just as if saying: “Yes! It is all true!”. Then again the holes are seen by the Judge in the Attorney’s hands and knows the Attorney has already paid the penalty for the accused.

Without saying anything further, the Judge lifts the gravel, taps the bench and says softly: “Not guilty!”. Everybody clap, hug one another, cry and laugh, because God’s grace and Jesus’ death regarding the cross tend to be more than enough.

Wow through him, always on the job to speak up, how can we who believe in Jesus not wait for this to happen? How wonderful it will be to hear that gravel hitting the bench and you hear God says to you: “Not guilty!”

And you don’t have to be afraid that Jesus will retire from being your attorney and that when you get to the courtroom, you’ll have to be satisfied with a priest that is second-in-charge prophet. Jesus should be there for good and ever, for many eternity, to guard every close friend, every brother and every sister who believe in Him.

How fortunate are we who believe in Him!

So, go and live out in the world. Go and tell everybody he takes on.

Prayer Jesus, many thanks when planning on taking back at my case. Many thanks that you are waiting for me at the heavenly courtrooms that I can know with everything in me. Thank you that I can already know what the verdict shall be. I would ike to live that into the global world now. Amen.
